About the artist
Tim Mason has been a freelance artist for 30 years. Married with two grown-up daughters, Tim was taught and inspired by Celia King whose knowledge of techniques and creativity and his own passion for art have formed his career. Tim likes to evolve his styles and techniques and embraces new technology. Tim much prefers to illustrate traditionally and watercolour is his favourite medium. He likes to mix mediums and experiment with different surfaces and sometimes by combining traditional art with digital provides infinite possibilities. Tim also takes inspiration from nature and the countryside, architecture and interior design/renovation. Upcycling of furniture, buildings, cars etc also inspires his creativity.
Tim’s friends are still intrigued that one day he can be painting a snowman and the next day a cow wearing a hat – “They just don’t understand!”.
Away from his studio, Tim loves watching live sports as an escape. Twenty-five years of competing in international motorsport gave way to live football.
