About the Artist

Amanda Loverseed is an acclaimed illustrator with an extensive career creating charming, whimsical designs for a wide range of publishers and products. After graduating from the Cambridge College of Arts and Technology, Loverseed quickly established herself as a professional children’s book illustrator, working with prestigious publishers like Walker Books, HarperCollins, and Blackie.

Over the past two decades, Loverseed has developed a diverse portfolio, lending her imaginative illustrations to an array of items including pop-up books, greeting cards, gift wrap, jigsaws, and cross-stitch kits. She is particularly known for her long-standing relationship with Phoenix Trading/Flamingo Paperie, for whom she has created over 400 best-selling products. Loverseed’s signature “Cut Thru” illustrations, featuring intricate, detailed scenes, have also earned her a dedicated following among cross-stitch enthusiasts through her work with Bothy Threads.

Inspired by the natural world around her countryside home in Sussex, Loverseed’s illustrations blend realism and whimsy, often incorporating hidden elements like snails as a personal trademark. She primarily works with dip pen, ink, and watercolours to breathe life into her imaginative designs. Loverseed’s illustrations have been featured across a wide range of licensed products, and she is always open to discussing new commissioned projects.
